In SAS Universal Viewer 1.3 or earlier versions, if you try to copy an entire SAS data set and then paste it into Excel, the column headings do not show up. Only the data are displayed. You can then manually type the column headings in Excel.
Or, you can install SAS® Universal Viewer 1.4 or a later version.
SAS Universal Viewer 1.4 and later versions have new functionality and you can toggle this feature on or off. To accomplish that, take these steps:
Note: If you deselect the option Include headers when copying table selections, then you need to restart SAS Universal Viewer for this new setting to take effect.
